Codestodian

Codestodian is a software development assistant built for developers working inside software teams. It integrates tightly with Slack and GitHub to bring the entire software development lifecycle directly into the tools you already use — reducing context switching and helping you ship code faster.

What is Codestodian?

Codestodian focuses on the needs of the individual developer rather than taking a traditional top-down approach. It seeks to empower developers to do their best work by being a useful tool in their day-to-day workflow — covering the full SDLC, not just one isolated component.

Key Features

Slack Integration

Codestodian has a deep integration with Slack, enabling developers to receive SDLC notifications directly in their communication app. It also allows developers to message users and teams directly — for example, contacting the reviewer of a PR without leaving Slack.

GitHub Integration

Seamless GitHub integration enables developers to easily interact with the platform and carry out actions such as getting a PR summary or merging an approved change — all from Slack.

Project Management Integration (coming soon)

Codestodian will integrate with common project management tools (JIRA, Linear, etc.) to enable developers to update ticket status, add comments, and see what's available to pick up next — straight from Slack without needing to context switch.

Developer Analytics (coming soon)

Codestodian will surface developer productivity metrics directly to engineering leads, feeding into DORA and SPACE frameworks to help engineering leaders make informed decisions. Developer experience surveys will also be built directly into Codestodian.

Who is it for?

Small to mid-sized technology companies using Slack and GitHub with multiple engineering teams.
